Hydraulics and Stormwater Laboratory
The Hydraulics and Stormwater Laboratory houses hydraulics teaching equipment, field equipment and benchtop analytical equipment for water quality analysis
The Hydraulics and Stormwater Laboratory is located in room 1.33 on Level 1 in the New Engineering Building. Through a partnership agreement with the South African Medical Research Council this laboratory is equipped with a HACH DR3800 Spectrophotometer and a range of water quality analysis probes including pH, electrical conductivity, dissolved oxygen and ion selective electrodes for the analysis of nitrate and ammonium. This lab is also used for analysis of total suspended solids content, lab scale experiments and storage of a wide range of field equipment.
