Ms Gloria Anano
Gloria Anano holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Water Resources Engineering from Busitema University. Currently, she is pursuing a master’s degree, with research focused on leveraging machine learning to design climate-resilient Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SuDS). The research aims to provide data-driven, cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable solutions for mitigating the impacts of climate change, particularly flooding in vulnerable urban areas. By incorporating climate scenarios in the early design phase, the research will highlight the importance of proactive planning in enhancing the long-term resilience of SuDS. Gloria is passionate about hydrology and integrating resilience into urban infrastructure to support sustainable development. By exploring the intersection of technology, water management, and climate adaptation, her research hopes to contribute to innovative strategies that enhance community resilience against extreme weather events. Finally, her research not only addresses current challenges but also envisions future-ready solutions that balance environmental protection with urban growth.
